2. In short
- You don’t need an account. We do not collect names, email addresses or payment details.
- Everything you enter in your CV, including a photo, is stored only in your browser and is not sent to us.
- PDF, Word and other files are created in your browser, not on our server.
- We do not use cookies or any analytics or tracking tools.
3. Your CV data (stored locally in your browser)
So that your draft is not lost, the page saves what you enter in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) on your device. This data is not sent to our server or to third parties. We have no access to it.
This storage is strictly necessary to provide the service you have explicitly requested. You can delete the data at any time with the “Start again” button or by clearing the site data in your browser.
If you use “Back up data (.json)”, a file is saved on your device. When you load such a file, it is read only in your browser.
4. Google Docs
If you choose “Google Docs”, your CV is copied to your device’s clipboard and a new Google Docs document opens in a new tab. The data only reaches Google if you paste it there yourself. Google’s privacy policy applies to this (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). We do not receive any data in the process.
5. Hosting and server logs
This website is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, the provider processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer, browser and operating system. This is used to deliver the website and to keep it secure and protect it against attacks.
From the IP address, the provider also determines the country the page is visited from. We use it only at that moment, to send you to the right language version when you open the main address and, where relevant, to suggest another language version. The country is not stored for this. If you close the suggestion, your browser remembers this in its local storage (not a cookie).
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with the provider (Art. 28 GDPR). Log data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for these purposes.
The provider may also process data in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR); the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses also apply.
6. Fonts
Fonts are loaded from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other font provider.
7. Cookies and tracking
We do not use cookies, web analytics, or advertising or tracking services.
8. Contacting us by email
If you write to us, we process your email address and your message in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The message is deleted once it has been dealt with, unless the law requires us to keep it.
9. Your rights
Where we process personal data about you, you have the right to:
- access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
To exercise these rights, contact hi@cvbravo.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the country where you live or work or where the alleged infringement took place. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). The authority responsible for us is the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warsaw, Poland).
